I would like to start by saying that my daughter comes to KD happily and with great enthusiasm every day. The teachers are warm, caring, and disciplined, providing excellent education to the students. I am very happy with my daughter's progress both academically and emotionally. What language is used for educational instruction?<\/h5>

Education at KD International School is conducted in two languages: the Lithuanian national curriculum is implemented in Lithuanian, and the Cambridge curriculum is implemented in English.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

My child ONLY knows Lithuanian (or English), is this school suitable for them?<\/h5>

Yes, a child can join KD International School schools <\/span>community without knowing English or Lithuanian.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Do children receive homework?<\/h5>

Homework is not assigned in elementary school, but sometimes children choose project activities that require parental involvement, help, and knowledge outside of class, such as building a robot, drawing a family tree, etc. Reading is also recommended at home (at least 20 minutes a day).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Are children forced to learn?<\/h5>

At Katino Dienel\u0117s, we believe that the desire and motivation for learning have to come from within each child. We empower each child to take responsibility for their education through careful guidance from professional pedagogues who cater lessons to each child\u2019s abilities in a purposefully prepared environment with the use of contextual education that encourage the child\u2019s curiosity and understanding of topics from different perspectives.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

How long do lessons last?<\/h5>

The duration of the lesson is 35 minutes in the 1st grade and 45 minutes from the 2nd grade, but we do not have a bell in the school: the time of the lesson is regulated by the teachers, taking into account the children's involvement, fatigue and needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Do you provide extracurricular activities for students?<\/h5>

How many months does the school year last at KD International School?<\/h5>

The school year in pre-school education is paid for 12 months, and in primary education and progymnasium - for 10 months (from the beginning of September to the end of June). During the summer holidays, childcare is also organized in the educational institution, the price of which is 50 euros less than the price of primary education.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

What is the cost of meals at KD International School?<\/h5>

At the end of the month, children's meals are paid for based on the days attended. The regular menu costs\u00a0<\/span>breakfast \u2013 \u20ac1.79<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>lunch \u2013 \u20ac5.45*<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>dinner \u2013 \u20ac2.71<\/strong>, and\u00a0<\/span>one-day price \u2013 \u20ac9.95<\/strong>. The menu for allergic children costs\u00a0<\/span>breakfast \u2013 \u20ac2.15<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>lunch \u2013 \u20ac6.55*<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>dinner \u2013 \u20ac3.25<\/strong>, and\u00a0<\/span>one-day price \u2013 \u20ac11.95<\/strong>. The price includes breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared and delivered daily by Confetti, as well as fruit and drinking water available to children throughout the day.<\/span>
